In my ongoing fascination with objects of desire, the inhumanly oversized frozen buttplug imposes itself against a much smaller model of an industrial snow canon. I invoked the little yellow machine here as an alternative symbol of desire: the desire for preservation of snow that benefits a techno-industrialised and economic incentive. The overwhelming majority of snow sports and ski resorts cannot afford to live on due to the rapid melting of our environment and lack of natural snow. Thus, the snow canon and the insdustry leading manufacturer “Techno Alpin” , fufill our nostalgic, icy desires.
